Privacy Notice
Last updated: March 2026
This notice covers tikoci.github.io and its subpaths, operated by the TIKOCI GitHub organization. The site is a collection of open source MikroTik RouterOS projects — source code is MIT-licensed on GitHub.
What We Collect
Website Analytics (Plausible)
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics service. Plausible does not collect personal data or personally identifiable information. No cookies are set. No cross-device or cross-site tracking occurs. All data is aggregate only.
What Plausible records for each page view:
- Page URL (query parameters stripped except UTM tags)
- HTTP Referrer
- Browser and operating system (derived from User-Agent; full User-Agent is discarded)
- Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
- Country, region, and city (derived from IP address; IP addresses are not stored)
Plausible generates a daily hash from your IP address, User-Agent, and a rotating salt to count unique visitors. The salt is deleted every 24 hours — there is no way to reconstruct individual visitor identity or track anyone across days.
Plausible is open source, EU-hosted (Hetzner, Germany), and GDPR/CCPA-compliant by design. See Plausible’s data policy for full details.
Transparency: Our Dashboard Is Public
All analytics data collected by Plausible for this site is published openly at:
plausible.io/tikoci.github.io
You can see exactly the same data we see — nothing more exists.
Why We Track Anything
We use analytics solely to understand:
- Where in the world people use MikroTik tools (geographic reach of the RouterOS community)
- Which tools and features are actually used (e.g., does anyone use the side-by-side control in Schema Diff?)
- Basic traffic trends to prioritize open source development effort
We do not use analytics for advertising, marketing, profiling, or selling data.
GitHub Pages Hosting
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. When you visit, GitHub logs your IP address for security purposes, regardless of whether you have a GitHub account. This is GitHub’s standard infrastructure behavior and is outside our control.
See GitHub’s Privacy Statement for details on their data practices.
GitHub API Requests
Some interactive tool pages (such as CHR Images) make client-side requests to the GitHub REST API directly from your browser. These requests are subject to GitHub’s privacy practices, not ours. No GitHub API data passes through our servers (we have none).
What We Do Not Do
- We do not use cookies
- We do not collect names, email addresses, or account information
- We do not sell, share, or monetize any data
- We do not run advertising
- We do not operate any backend servers — this is a static site
California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. Because we do not collect personal information that identifies individuals, there is nothing to disclose, delete, or opt out of. Plausible’s cookie-free, aggregate-only design means no personal information (as defined by the CCPA) is collected in the first place.
If you have questions or concerns, you can still contact us and we will respond.
Third-Party Links
This site links to external services (GitHub, MikroTik, Observable, Google Fonts). Those sites have their
own privacy policies. We load Google Fonts via fonts.googleapis.com; see
Google Fonts privacy info.
Open Source
